Default Is anyone here a 6mm/1:285 military model collector?

Is anyone here a 6mm/1:285 military model collector?

I have a huge collection (6000+ vehicles) that I am willing to give away. I am going to make the offer on modeling groups soon, but I figured you guys deserve it more. (It is not just vehicles it is buildings/roads/aircraft/boats)

Before anyone worries this is the step of giving things away before something drastic, it is the exact opposite. It is part of a restart. I simply don't want a hobby that keeps me indoors. For 5 years I have been essentially home bound due to taking care of loved ones (covid did not help). It is looking like that care will end in the near-mid future and I am looking for a fresh start.

If you can get to the Chicagoland area and are willing to pick up it is yours. If you need shipping and promise me you will actually use some of it (rather than resell it all), I will be willing to ship for cost plus a little for my time.

I know this collection is worth multiple thousands of dollars, but I don't want to be on the hook for anything if a container got misplaced or I miscounted something and I don't have the time to manage anything other than packing and shipping (like inventorying). If someone new registers just to claim this I will of course be a little suspicious, but maybe something can happen.

Let me know.

I've been gaming in 1:285 for decades, on and off. I'm a member of HMGS and go to Historicon / Fall In / Cold Wars regularly. In fact, that was one attraction of moving from the mid-South to the East Coast - more gaming opportunities.

I'd certainly be interested, and would be willing to come to Chicago to pick up the collection.
