Default [InfoDump Needed] Modern German Infantry Load Out

Yes, yes, I'm a GearHedd.
I'm trying to find an itemised list of what the modern German infantryman carries into combat, including uniform items and accessories. I've turne dup zilch on the net.

Does anyone know of a source?

Well, as an ex Australian infantryman, I can say it's almost always different. Of course there's the base uniform, boots, webbing and weapon, but after that it's pretty much up to the mission requirements and desires of the commanders.
It also comes down to the skills and abilities of individual soldiers somewhat - a soldier who consistantly scores well on the rifle range might find themselves issued with a night sight for their weapon, while one six foot tall and the same across the shoulders is likely to end up with a lot more than the scrawny five foot weed assigned as section (squad) scout.

I believe one of the later Challenge magazines had an article like that. I'll phone my friend tonight, he has all of them. At least I can find out the issue number or if my mind is playing tricks on me.

Do you have that Challenge article Chalkie or do you need more up to date information? If you do not have the article would you like it?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I found this from orrin_ladd's old site:

this site may prove somewhat useful as well although it does seem to be filled with post-1995 gear
