This is one I like.
It is cute that "Badges" are bad people, and the "Bikers" are sometimes the good guy. I think of them as Nomads. They travel from job to job. Trading labor for food, ethanol, and motorcycle parts. Some work as muscle for town Militias when towns go to warring. Serving as scouts, or lending their mechanical expertise even weapons for a cut of the spoils. They circulate a region often "Staying with relatives" former Members that dropped out of the gang to settle down. This is one of my frequent encounters for Teams and I personally make their area larger and much further south (riding weather!) Their found in all of the South, Texas, Southwest, and Southern California. One of the KFS internal security problems (always) as the Bikers hold no allegiance to the Five. The Bikers simply move about faster than the KFS can act on them. They find tolerance within KFS territory as they will trade or carry for anyone, and do so without involving "gubmint". So groups acting against the Five have used Bikers to move messages and materials, as have smugglers or others that have wanted to get some goods past the sanctioned trades allowed by the Five. A Biker group doesn't normally travel outside to their area. Gangs are gangs and loyal only to their own. Bikers only gather at "Biker Rallies". Stugis, SD is spoken of with reverence as though it were a holy city or place, though there is no one alive that ever went. A "Biker Rally" is the only "Truce". The Gangs come together. Drink, have loud concerts, trade parts or whole motorcycles, and gather new Members. Bikers going to a Rally and passing through another Gangs territory can pass through on two conditions. The Gang passing through can only do so in the same month as the Rally and must stay "on the Highway". This is part of the "Code of the Road" passed down from the bad, old days when it was kill on sight. Disputes are either sudden, very violent, and over, or taken to the Leaders. The Leaders hear the dispute, and sit in judgement. The Leaders will sit and argue the dispute themselves, as only a unanimous vote settles the matter. Disputes before the Leaders when settled are final and a decision has to be reached before the Rally is over. |

This is an excellent group to hook up with Gypsy Truckers. These are the scouts and outriders for the "Convoy". AS with the GT's, these people have a working civilization. They would probably look down on the MP vehicles.
"Yeah, it's new, quiet, and well armed. OK. But where is its' soul. No wind in your face. No bugs in your teeth. Ya gotta be a sissy to ride one of those things." Just a possible reaction of a biker to a MP vehicle. My $0.02 Mike |
