IMHO, after TDM, anyone who can manufacture black powder will be a very sought after person. With over 50% of the population dead, much of the manufactoring facilities either abandoned or glowing in the dark, with the mass comfusion over Military vs Civilian government, I think there will be a surge in home based businesses. Such as carpendry, backyard gardning, metal working, and of course, black powder.

OTOH, if you didn't know how to create black powder before TDM, trying to reinvint the formula afterwards ... well, safer to scavenge modern cartridges.

black powder weapons can be a very nice addition to the game - have hunted with a black powder rifle and it took down a deer quite nicely
by the way - the real fun would be to try to make nitro - you either do it right or it can be lights out very quickly - and then you need to still figure out how to stabilize it wouldnt want to be living near any prospective armaments manufacturers (see the Krakow modules for what I mean) |
