Default OT- Sweet Weekend for me!

I'm having such a good weekend its scaring me.

Thursday, got a call from my bro-in-law, a buddy of his wants me to do a leather project. I talked to the guy, did some research, quoted a price. I'll make about $600 after material costs.

Saturday, went to a gun show and purchased an AR, a S&W M&P. Got what I think was a good deal, paid $750 out the door.

And just minutes ago I won an auction for a bird's head grip frame for my Ruger Vaquero. I lost out on an auction for one last week. I bid on it, then the previous high bidder panicked and hit the "buy it now" for $275. The one I just won was $100.

And in about 2 hours I'm taking the family to my sister's and from there going out to eat at a nice restraunt.

Life is sweet for a fat white guy!

And I ordered a couple out of print books I've wanted to read for a long time and never got around to them. Already got/'read one, the other shoud be here in a day or two.

I just got back from spending the weekend in Melbourne. I love trams! Every city should have 'em.

Targan,

I am guessing that when you say trams, you are speaking about trains?

IF so, here in the USA, you almost can not give away seats on our train systems. The only place trains work is in the NorthEast Corridor between Boston and Washington, DC. There are about 150 million + in an area that stretches about 500-600 miles. And even then the trains do not work all that well. It seems that every day there is a story about a train jumping the track, running into a civilian vehicle, power outage, or other FUBAR.

I could make noises about the US Govt. running the railroads, but I want to keep this non-political as possible.
