Sample documents
A long while ago I ran a campaign that had the players acting as officers and NCOs within a company in the build up to Kalisz. As a campaign starter it was interesting as the players were really upset as the unit was over run, they were upset that NPCs they had come to know and rely upon.
As part of the campaign I found that players liked to have documents sent to them by headquarters. Well actually I quite enjoyed it, watching a player who is struggling to co-ordinate a move responding to a request to clarify his unit strength as there was a discrepancy was highly amusing... I've started this thread to allow people to post any documents that players might find useful or just find lying around. The first one is a document detailing how convoys should move in non-secure areas (in reality anywhere outside rifle range of a unit). |

James,
That is WAY COOL!! Excellent addition to a convoy scenario. I never played in one, but I could see this "order" being an excellent tool for role play. My $0.02 Mike |

I will have to dig around for some Official Orders. There is a distinct format.
Date/Time should be in Zulu (Greenwich time) Orders are numbered. I think by Month, then sequentially. Order 01-01 would be the first Order for January. Might be Month, Year, then sequentially. Been to long for me to remember. The Army Regulation governing Correspondence and Official Letters probably has the correct format. |

Thanks guys, I am familiar with UK military writing so had to take a few guesses about US ones, I will make a few modifications and repost. I'll also try and produce a few other documents.
