Here's another one: what's James Bond up to in T2K?

Depends. Are we working on the fan theory that "James Bond" is an alias, given to a succession of agents for MI-6? Otherwise, he's pretty old by 2000.

I am more interested in two other groups.
The Bond Girls and the Bond villains. |

I kind of like the idea of a crusty old James Bond, replacing youthful brawn with a lifetime's worth of tradecraft and dirty tricks.

He's probably seen the light and skipped out to some pacific island with the Bond girls. All the bond girls...

Bond Age
In Moonraker (Book) it says that mandatory retirement age from the 00 section is 45
Using the actors who play Bond on film as a benchmark for the character age, he could be in 70's if you use Sean Connery and Roger Moore portrayal. Or he could be 50 if you use Timothy Dalton or 47 for Pierce Brosnan. All of which would put him in retirement as a active field agent. However it is quite possible you could see 50 or 47 year old Bond working a desk for MI6. Daniel Craig would be 32 in 2000 and would no doubt you would see him still employed as a active field agent Brief Character Bio Bond is the son of a Scottish father, Andrew Bond, of Glencoe, and a Swiss mother, Monique Delacroix, of the Canton de Vaud. The young James Bond spends much of his early life abroad, becoming multilingual in German and French because of his father's work as a Vickers armaments company representative. Bond is orphaned at the age of 11 when his parents are killed in a mountain climbing accident in the Aiguilles Rouges near Chamonix. After the death of his parents, Bond goes to live with his aunt, Miss Charmian Bond, in the village of Pett Bottom, where he completes his early education. Later, he briefly attends Eton College at 12, but is removed after two halves because of girl trouble with a maid. After being sent down from Eton, Bond was sent to Fettes College in Scotland, his father's school. On his first visit to Paris at the age of 16, Bond loses his virginity. Bond briefly attends the University of Geneva, before being taught to ski in Kitzbühel. Bond joins the Royal Navy as an Intelligence officer and is still listed as a Naval Reserve commander in the bond films. Bond applies to MI6 for a position within the "Secret Service", part of the Civil Service. Bond is made a 00 agent, after he kills two enemy agents. Bond is a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George.

And the Bond girls makes me think of the "wives" from Fury Road (or vice versa). Only the BEST specimens will do!
