Combat rescue adventure

Gents, a while back, someone posted a fan-created adventure where the PCs were either AF Pararescue or other SOF (Rangers, for example) who were on a Combat SAR mission for a downed USAF crew in Iran. I had that adventure on my old laptop, which was stolen a couple years ago in a burglary, and only now, I decided to look for it. Can someone post it again? TIA>

History:
After several years of deteriorating relations and verbal stabs back and forth, the two Koreas began a war in late 2004 to reunify the country ala 1950-1953.* The North Koreans struck first, sending the South Koreans reeling.* Unfortunately, the North Koreans made the mistake of attacking the U.S. embassy and shedding American blood, leading to the participation of the United States in a heavy bombing campaign on major industrial and military targets in Pyongyang.* Bombing missions were carried out primarily by B-52J "BUFFs", an ultra-modernized version of the original B-52 series, with greatly improved ECM gear.* HOwever, the numbers were bound to catch up to the americans, and in early 2005 the first B-52 was shot down over North Korea.

Situation:
A B-52 outbound on a southern heading has been lost approximately 27 kilometers south of Pyongyang.* It is believed that the aircraft has been shot down, though there is only circumstation evidence.* Photographic reconnaissance by a KS-1 satellite shows burning wreckage (see photos below). Due to the highly sensitive ECM gear and the unkown nature of the crash, a team of 4-6 Force Recon Marines are being sent in to recover the black boxes and the ECM pod from the starboard wing along with any survivors.* If it is not possible to carry the materials, they should be destroyed*** The Marines will be inserted 3 kilometers south of the site in mountainous terrain by an Osprey VTOL, with extraction by the same method at a predetermined landing zone. Time is of the essence, as North Korean troops will certainly swarm the site as soon as they realize what has happened. A major town is located 5 km to the east, and a small hamlet 3 km to the west. The team should travel very light, as the terrain is very rough, and they will be at the site a maximum of two hours.* Launch is at midnight, with a 90 minute flight time.

The Crash Site:
The B-52 broke up on contact with the ground, spilling several thousand gallons of aviation fuel all over.* the remains are primarily scattered in a small valley between hill "30" and "35" (designated by maximum elevations on the map).* Though broken up with lots of unidentifiable junk everywere and fires all over, major portions of the aircraft are still recognizable; it will make decent cover, but the flickering fire will make night vision gear marginally effective in not totally useless; one advantage is the roar of fire and such will cover noise much better.* ONce the characters get to the crash site* It will only be an Average:Observation to spot the remains of the cockpit if the character is within 75 meters, and a difficult:Observation at 150 meters due to illumination by the fire and its recoginzable shape.* The cockpit has sheared off at the rear bulkhead, and the two blackboxes are still connectd to the bulkhead in plain sight.* Each weighs 8 kilograms and are about the size of a car battery. The starborad wing ECM pod has been smashed badly enough that it is nearly unrecognizable, in addition to being painted in a camoflague scheme and being in a brush covered forest. It is located halfway up the east side of hill "35" and will take an Impossible:Observation to spot from 15 meters or less; determining if the character is close enough is up to the gamemaster to decide.* If the team actually manages to find the pod, their next problem is that the remains weigh nearly 150 kg.* Good luck with this one.* The only survivor, Captain Waters, is located near the edge of the forest on the northeast face of hill "35."

NPCs:
Captain Waters:* the Captain has been hiding in the brush near the crash site for almost 5 hours once the team makes their way to the site.* He assumes, though he doesn't know for sure, that some kind of rescue team is on the way.* He has kept radio silence, and is very aware of the squad of North Korean soldiers that is picking through the wreckage.* Luckily, he managed to move about 300 meters from his parachute which he managed to hide in a smal depression in the field.* Cpatain Waters did not see any other parachutes and suspects it was a surface to air missile that tok out the aircraft, but doesn't know for sure.* If a firefight starts, he spots American troops, or a radio call is given out to the effect that a rescue team is here, he will move to find them as quickly as possible.* He has no delusions what a Beretta M9 with 3 magazines will be worth against fully armed troops, or his chances as a POW.

American Team:
If you need characters, Force Recon Team "Bake Sale" is available.* Pvt. Viscotti is not available, due to injury, and all team members are only carrying 1 MRE, wearing boonie hats instead of helmets, and have left behind their M18 calymore mines.* IN addition, Cpl. appleseed and L/Cpl. Jnekins have dropped the M240G machine gun and associated ammo; Cpl. Appleseed is armed with an M249 SAW with 3x200 round belts and 2 30 rd magazines (plus the appropriate LBV vest).

Special Equipment:
The blackbox units each carry a radio transponder that can be activated by a special signal broadcast on a specific radio frequency.* A 1 kg hand unit will be issued that generates the signal on the appropriate frequency, and has a range of about 5 km on line of site; however, the terrain will reduce this to a few hundred meters at most.* Once the signal has been sent and the boxes recieve it, the hand unit can be used as a homing beacon.* This homing signal is not secure, and can be tracked by anyone on the proper radio frequency (i.e. possibly North Korean intellegence).

The Encounter:
It will take the marines about 90 minutes to reach the site due to the steep and heavily forrested terrain. If they are carrying particularly heavy or bulky loads (such as M240G machineguns, etc.) this will go up to two hours and 15 minutes. The crash site will be obvious due to the burning fuel and there is no doubt someone will be on the way to investigate. If the team is alert, they will notice movement on the southern faces of the hills.

A small detachment of North Korean soldiers has alreay arrived on the site and is searching for survivors or valuable equipment.* The detachemnt consists of eleven men.* Two men are located on the soueast face of hill "35" looking at the wreckage and standing guard against any potential rescue attempt.* Two more groups of two soldiers are searching the site (determine location randomly) and each pair has a German Sheperd or equally large and nasty dog on a lead to search for survivors.* The last three men include two soldiers and a lieutenant on the southwest face of hill "30" who have stopped to admire to immense fire burning from the remains of the fuel tank.* Each man is armed with the equivalent of an AK-47 with four magazines, while the lieutenant is armed with a Tokarev pistol with two magazines.* They have not found anything yet but will fairly soon, such as the cockpit. they have two jeeps parked near the base of hill "30," with two men gaurding them, one armed with an AK-47 and one manning a PKM machine gun on a pintle mount, with 500 rounds of available ammo.
In about one hour (15 minutes if they were heavily armed) four vehicles will be seen heading west on the road.* they will turn off and head for the crash site.* The vehicles consist of a light wheeled armored car (use the stats for a BRMD-1), another jeep, and two 2 1/2 ton trucks.* These are reinforcements for the search party, led by a Major.* If there has been shooting already, they will arrive 10 minutes after the shooting starts, assuming one of the gaurds in the two original jeeps got a call off (can you say silent killing?).* The jeep has a driver and the mjor, each armed with a tokarev pistol.* Each 2 1/2 ton truck has a squad with ten men, armed with eight AK-47s, one RPK light machine gun and an RPG 16 with 6 shots.* This should be more than a match for the team unless they are very stealthy or are more heavily armed than they should have been.
