Been there many times. They didn't even show you the best parts. I like when he says "security is tight..." He didn't even show you the blast doors or the guards armed with machineguns and M4's. This place is also a COG site with enough equipment to put about a battalion in the field (stashed Waaay in the back near the water reservoir).

I remember this was one of the possible cache sites mentioned in Allegheny Uprising. I knew a man who worked there and he told me that there is so much room in there that they can drive semi's through and there is enough room to turn around.

Iron Mountain has been around for years. They provide storage of corp hard copy records. Apparently the company origins go back to a speech President Dwight Eisenhower about the need for US industry to be prepare for WWIII.

The majority of the company facilities are above ground warehouses near its clients. In addition to the Boyers, Pennsylvania Site, it maintains an underground warehouse in Dighton, Massachusetts using an old Nike Missile Silo.

The History Channel show a good view inside and outside of Boyers, Pennsylvania storage site, in Esp 5 of Ozzy & Jack's World Detour.

There was one shot of a excavator digging a new tunnel. There was also a view shots of the Corbis Vault Interior. Where Ozzy's Crazy Train recording is being kept.

Did you mean underground? Otherwise this has a wonderful potential for absurdist scenarios...
  • Having lost its computer net, Milgov needs a physical sample retrieved for milspec male and female undergarments for a new factory supplying uniforms; perhaps it is winter underwear patterns needed for Winter 2000.

  • The above scenario, but the patron is a private factory owner, and the PCs are not in the service any longer.

  • A leader (Milgov, Civgov, NA, other), having lost a connection to Fredrick's of Hollywood due to either Mexican invasion or breakdown of US Postal Service, wants a particular set for his/(or her) mistress, and send the PCs (because he or she can).

  • The last known black satin bustier in America is in the silo in Dighton, and a (mad) general needs it to provide his troops with the full effect of Rocky Horror Picture Show to raise morale...

You can sense the possibilities. I see you shiver with antici-

-pation!

Also secure document destruction, storage boxes and loads of other stuff... they have a presence in the UK as well.

There's actually quite a well known picture of a guy leaving Lehman Brothers' Canary Wharf office after its collapse carrying his belongings in an Iron Mountain box.

The company also got a parody version in NCIS where the guy at the desk tried to flirt with Ziva. Well, a lot of guys tried to flirt with Ziva...

Anyway, you could have Iron Mountain boxes lying around an abandoned office facility as a bit of descriptive flavour.
