Default The Long Way Home – a new Twilight 2000 Live Stream using v4 rules

Dear all,

I don’t know if anyone is interested in watching other people’s live streams of Twilight 2000 games but I’ve started a new military based campaign set in Poland and focused around the remnants of 4/12 Cavalry and their efforts to return to friendly lines.

We are using the new v4 rules from Free League but with 2m grid maps on Roll20 rather than 10m hex maps and with a focus around a campaign story rather than the hex crawl mechanic that comes with the game (there is nothing wrong with that mechanic – I just wanted to run a traditional T2k style campaign).

The VOD of our first session is available on YouTube here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKV2C9NbJXw and we will be playing additional sessions every two weeks once the new year starts.

Any constructive comments or criticisms are welcome.

Thanks,

Mahatatain.

The second episode of my T2k 4th edition campaign "The Long Way Home" is here if anyone would like to watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZI0QKYsG1w

Following the destruction of 4/12 Cavalry in the first episode, a remnant group of 11 survivors managed to break contact and head eastwards. It's the wrong direction but at least it's away from enemy forces! Along the way they encountered a couple of civilians, learned from them about some Soviet troops on the road ahead and then set off to scout the enemy position.

In episode 3 of our Twilight 2000 campaign set in Poland, two new PCs are introduced and the PCs take on a Soviet work crew. We also discover just how dangerous the V4 combat system is!

In episode 4 of our Twilight 2000 campaign, the PCs gather up all the gear they captured from a Soviet work crew and then escort some Polish civilians eastwards, trying to put more distance between themselves and known Soviet forces before heading south in an attempt to loop round and re-join friendly forces.

In episode 5 of our Twilight 2000 campaign set in Poland the PCs spend more time with the occupants of a strangely idyllic village, trading a number of things with them, most notably a chandelier and an electric guitar, and hearing more about the fabled Free City of Krakow to the south.
