Robin Sage: Green Beret Role-Playing
Robin Sage is a US Special Forces exercise that involves what is essentially LARP'ing and world-building (the fictional setting, "Pineland", is a thinly-veiled iteration of rural America). It's been held annually for the last 60 years or so.
A PDF on the modern relevancy of the exercise: https://www.soc.mil/SWCS/SWmag/archi...bin%20Sage.pdf An overview of this-year's exercise: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zon...rfare-exercise A critique of the world-building aspect of "Pineland": https://smallwarsjournal.com/jrnl/ar...unconventional Robin Sage could provide ammunition for Refs running a CONUS-set campaign, especially if the OPFOR is something like New America. -

Robin Sage sounds like a character from a series of novels. Like Stephanie Plum.
