Question Soviet Naming Conventions

This question came up on the Free League T2k forum but no satisfactory answers have been tendered as of yet. We have a very knowledgeable group here so I'm hoping that one of you knows the answer. What did the Soviet military call NATO AFVs and aircraft during the Cold War?

NATO had code names for Soviet aircraft, missile systems, and submarines (e.g. Hind, Fulcrum, Grumble, Sagger, Alpha, etc.). Did the Soviets use a similar system for NATO gear (i.e. making up their own code names), or did they just use the NATO designations (e.g. calling a Leopard II a Leopard II), or some other system entirely?

The Russian-language stuff I've seen from the era used Cyrillic transliterations of the NATO names, i.e. Bradlee and Fantom.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...
