I find nothing funny about these "men" humiliating and injuring women for laughs. Brandon ******************** TiggerCCW UK 06-27-2008, 02:28 PM Apologies if it offends anyone - I just thought they were an example of people underestimating recoil. The woman with the Desert Eagle in particular looks pretty competant. I agree the other one just looks like they were taking the piss though. ******************** Targan 06-27-2008, 11:16 PM I guess I'm going to have to be the wet blanket here. I find nothing funny about these "men" humiliating and injuring women for laughs.Agreed. If they insist on humiliating and injuring anyone for laughs it should be other men. Preferably French men. ******************** kcdusk 06-28-2008, 05:02 AM Preferably French men. Or Victorians. ******************** copeab 06-28-2008, 06:27 AM Agreed. If you want a video of women shooting guns, it should be more like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MJB-...eature=related (yes, I'm a sexist pig. So what? Brandon ******************** pmulcahy 06-28-2008, 10:30 AM Or Victorians. Or Republicans. ******************** copeab 06-28-2008, 01:29 PM Or Republicans. Heh. Brandon ******************** Targan 06-28-2008, 01:35 PM Or Victorians.Hmm. True. Maybe we could exile all the Victorians to France? And then get America's Republicans to nuke them? ******************** kcdusk 06-28-2008, 05:05 PM Hmm. True. Maybe we could exile all the Victorians to France? See, team work at its best. ******************** TiggerCCW UK 06-28-2008, 05:51 PM I'll admit to being a bit confused by the reference to the Victorians when it was first made - I was thinking of the historical time period and trying to figure out why they were all so disliked..... :blush2: ******************** GOF 06-28-2008, 06:07 PM Check this out but don't read the comments, it comfirms the idea that most of the worlds population are morons http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyAl9...eature=related ******************** kcdusk 06-28-2008, 06:34 PM I'll admit to being a bit confused by the reference to the Victorians when it was first made - I was thinking of the historical time period and trying to figure out why they were all so disliked..... :blush2: Apologies to non-australian viewers re the victorian reference (its a state in australia). In USA speak, think of victorians as say ... texans :-) I know we have some texans here so i'm just having a dig guys. ******************** pmulcahy 06-28-2008, 06:58 PM Apologies to non-australian viewers re the victorian reference (its a state in australia). (Republicans or Democrats) Yeah those Right Wing Bastards give it to them. How about we send the Liberal party to France with the Victorians... ******************** Targan 06-29-2008, 11:45 PM Yeah those Right Wing Bastards give it to them. I too, wondered about the levels of prejudice for men in stove-pipe hats and women in bonnets on this board. Glad to know its just healty, hate-your-neighbour-cos-he-lives-over-there kind of prejudice ******************** Targan 06-30-2008, 07:39 AM Glad to know its just healty, hate-your-neighbour-cos-he-lives-over-there kind of prejudice Heh heh. Its more than that. Just a bit of background on the psychology of non-Victorians hating Victorians. Sydney (the capital of New South Wales and Australia's biggest city) has always had a very strong rivalry with Melbourne (the capital of Victoria and arguably the centre of Australian arts and culture) since colonial times and that is to be expected. But from a slightly different direction, KC and I come from States of Australia that were for a long time the frontiers of Australia, mostly-desert States with relatively small populations and no great say in the way the nation developed. So now that Western Australia and South Australia are having their days in the sun (and pumping vast amounts of wealth into the rest of the country due to the mining boom) people like KC and I can thumb our noses at the Victorians and their innate elitism. And then there is the matter of Australian Rules Football rivalry. Australian Rules was originally a Victorian game, but late in the last century and early in this one AFL teams from WA and SA have seriously kicked arse in the AFL competition and shown the Victorians how the game is really played. I have a great deal of respect for the two AFL teams in KC's State but I wouldn't say the same of any of the Victorian teams. ******************** |
