Welcome All
This is my Morrow Project / Project Phoenix discussion forum.
I know there are lively discussions at the Yahoo forums. http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/MorrowProject/ but I wanted to have my own discussion group with a less ad-revenue generating layout. Hopefully this will grow and my gaming website http://games.juhlin.com gets more exposure. Kato, do you ever hit Archon out in Collinsville, IL (just across the river from St. Louis)? I've seen a Morrow Project crew working the vendors' room in years past.

I'm thinking about starting up a PbP based loosely on the Morrow Project premise. The boss, however, will not sanction the purchase of any new RPG materials. Are they any sites out there offering free (and legal, of course) MP resources?

Well you can get the rules for Project Phoenix (which is a Morrow Project clone) for free in the files section of my gaming site. The supply bunker listed above has just about everything that is available free for Morrow gamers.

I feel like a boob. I always ask before looking around. Right after I posted I found the Supply Bunker. I can't, however, find the Phoenix Project rules files you mentioned. I'm probably just thick.

If you are a registered user of the forum you should see "Gaming Site" just next to "User CP" on the blue nav bar above. Or click on the HMMWV on the top right.
From there you should have full access to my gaming site. If you don't I may have to figure out how to clear your cookies. If you don't see a files option let me know. If you do have a files option, click on it and then click "Project Phoenix Rules (ZIP)". Included in the file is an nonstandard font you might need to install to read the pdf. If you are on a windows box just drop it into windows/fonts |

Oh,my
Well, that does bring a laugh...
It's odd the places that Project Phoenix file turns up. I had a lot of fun writing it, and you've got the "Freebie" that was put out to lure people into buying the full version. The full version, on CD , has links out to various books and manuals included on the CD. For example, clicking on the M16 brings up the FM on the M16.... or clicking on the various skills bring up ebooks on the skill. The idea was that would let folks running games have an easy way to see what was covered in the skill, or exactly what frequencies a radio would cover , or the details on a vehicle. If anyone has a real urge to pick up a copy of the CD, drop me an email at schwartz.jeffrey@gmail.com -- I had been selling them for $20, postage included. It's a packed 650Mb CD. I'm pretty sure I've still got a few lying around I can copy..... Wow, ten years have gone by, and folks still play it. Woot! If you've got a Phoenix game running, please do drop me an email, I'd love to hear about it. If you're curious what I'm playing with now, check out: http://www.HouseTardis.net , which is basically a generic MMORPG handler that runs inside Second Life. You can get an SL account for free, and pick up HTCS (the rule-set I wrote) for free as well. |

Glad you found us. Your freebie led me into the world of Morrow Project (after being a T2k fan for years). I like your answers to the "how did they know" and "why didn't it work" much better than the original TMP explanations. Thanks for all your hard work. I would be interested in seeing the CD. Check your PMs.

Hello,
I was looking up TMP through Google and stumbled across this site along with other resources. Looks good. I think there is a lot for current and future PD resources. Thanks for setting it up. Paul |

Chris Garland has asked me to create a forum for official "Timeline" announcements, errata, discussion, etc. I am sure he will be making an announcement message shortly explaining exactly what he hopes to use it for.
Keep an eye out for it. Kato |

Hey All,
Just in, I'm a retired Army EOD Tech, played TMP when I was a kid, just found my books and have been running through this stuff for the mental exercise. Made Contact with Gary at the Supply Bunker, I'm going to assist him in working some of the data there. Worked a lot on the SOF side, so I'm gonna see what I can't do to lend a touch of authenticity. Y'all have fun! Mike |
