Inappropriate Vietnam Songs
Here's an upload that is NOT politically correct. A friend just sent this to me for Christmas. Our Vietnam era NCO taught us this song and we sang it in Basic as well as on active duty throughout the '80s and '90s. Listen to it while you can. Youtube will take it down eventually.
without further ado... Napalm Sticks To Kids! https://youtu.be/t9eybY9qFfY |

I believe "Napalm Sticks to Kids" was one of those "living" songs, that is to say, it changed verses here and there depending on what unit you were with and where you were located.
For example, I recall one verse from a book I read many, many years ago that was not in the song linked to by swaghauler. I still remember the verse even though it was thirty years or more ago now. Blues out on a road recon See some kids with their mom What the Hell let's drop the bomb Napalm sticks to kids For those who don't know much of the slang of the Vietnam War, "Blues" were Huey helicopters armed with rocket pods and machine guns. They were used for fire support and other offensive actions rather than troop transport (troops transport Hueys were called "Slicks" if I remember correctly) |
