Default Spammer Made it through the perimeter.

Got off 10 shots and then hid for about 3 hours until I terminated it. Sorry about that guys. If it becomes more frequent I will change the registration a bit. Unfortunately anything you do to make the spammers life difficult also makes legitimate new user registration more difficult.

The second option is never sleep

It's okay boss, everyone needs a little downtime. Besides, dealing with a spammer is easy. Just delete the threads they create!

Saw those when they popped up. Ignored 'em. Knew you'd be onto it like a shot as soon as you saw them anyway Kato. And lo and behold I wake up and they are gone!

In any case I had no need for Cialis without a prescription

Don't worry about it, there's one of you and God knows how many of them. End of the day just delete their posts. A spammer isn't going to put me off coming here

Thanks guys. I just liked my record versus spammers and did not like having a blot on it. I have a serious problem with striving for perfection when pretty good is usually sufficient.

Default GREAT WORK Kato

I just have to say that this forum is the BEST...I probably spend a bit more time than I should but discussions and input from my fellow posters and Kato is invaluable .. Thanx again.

Damn, you're good, Kato. Thanks for being around. I don't normally hang out in forums that have moderators, they tend get to power mad, but you're the exception.

Thanks everyone for the complements. As for my being a good moderator, I literally have 25 years of experience starting with BBSes in 1984, that helps. The fact that you guys are level headed and respectful is by far the more important factor in that equation.

My first actual computer was some sort of Hewlett Packard monstrosity which had a plotter built into it. It was actually bigger than the PET (and probably weighed more than i did at the time).

I'm pretty sure this was my first. 9800 series programmable desktop calculator.

with this attached instead of the printer

It was mostly useful for graphing formulas but was still fun for an 7/8 year old boy.
