My initial reaction is that these kinds of craft are not well-suited for the Twilight world. They require fuel, they have no cargo capacity, they offer no protection to the rider, and they have no heavy weapons mounts. That much said, perhaps a warlord might use such ostentatious craft to make a point about his power. Perhaps combined with some version of the floating/riverine lifestyle portrayed in another recent post, one could see a land-based version of Waterworld’s Smokers.

That was exactly the case in my campaign. When the PCs conducted their mission to steal a Shershen-class torpedo boat from one of the Vistula river pirate groups they also stole a jet ski from the most powerful pirate leader. The USN SEAL in the group (Major Po's XO) stole it to make a getaway and catch up with the stolen Shershen. It was a very James Bond moment.

Well I must admit since I GM a Merc Campaign that was some of the reason I wondered if anyone designed it or similar....

On the other hand...

I can see many situations where pc's stranded near a body of water can find one or more...preferably while beeing followed by hostils.
