Default Just Another Web Site Idea

You may have noticed a lot of notations that say something like, "This weapon does not appear in the Twilight 2000 timeline."

So that leads me to an idea for a new section. (Yes, I know I have lots of ideas for my site floating around all the time.) This section would be for those weapons, vehicles, equipment, that would not exist in T2K.

My idea for a title would be something like "Sir Not Appearing in this Film," but the Monty Python producers might ding me for that. Or maybe remove the "Sir" part ("Not Appearing in this Film"). Or maybe "Not Appearing in this War."

Basically, I'm using you guys as a sounding board. What think you? (Great, I sound like Yoda here...)

Would that mean essentially one section for weapons that are in the T2K timeline and another section for those that are not (perhaps linking back to those that are)?
If so it could be very useful...
Even if not I think it's a good idea.

I agree with Legbreaker (probably one of the few on the board that does lately ) - it's a good idea and I like the title "Not Appearing In This War" although some people might not understand the reference - I know, I know but it's true, some people are not Monty Python fans.

Some kind of identifier would need to go with any pictures, specs, or descriptions of the weapons as well as what the source is. It should also be broken down into how it appeared (i.e. movie, book, television show, comic book, etc).

I think most of us could identify the M41A pulse rifle from 1986's "Aliens" at a glance, but to actually see the specs and description and history of the weapon as fictionally-constructed would be even better.

To that end, does anyone know what the weapons in "Starship Troopers" were called? I thought the design was interesting, combining an assault rifle with a pump shotgun.

No Porblem, glad to share. I've known about it for maybe 3 years. Yeah fun place to surf and since it is a wiki a good source for images.

Well, if you want a lot on non-T2K weapons in T2K format, look into the 3G3 (Guns! Guns! Guns! 3rd edition) supplement More Guns!, which has a lot or real and unreal weapons in 8 different game formats, including T2K. These run from black powder weapons through lasers and the like, including a nifty black powder submachine gun the Romans could have developed if they had black powder. I rely on it a lot!

We must have nearly the same Initiative . It's good to be on board again and it's better to see so much activity.
