Fortress of Suomenlinna is pirate base operated by the infamous Suomenlahden Haukat (Seahawks of Gulf of Finland). Suomenlinna is ideal base for marine paramilitary organisation (it even has a drydock). Popular picnic destination before the war and it also housed Finnish Navy and coastal artillery garrisons. Nice place to visit if you are planning “Baltic cruise” rather than Mediterranean cruise.
