Anybody want to take a swing at the contents of the barge the Krolova is pushing? Some of the bicycles he took on commission from the Krakow factory? SOme of Wojo's products? Medicines (probably) or food?

This may seem a little far-fetched, but what do you think of an attempt by Adam et.al to raise the Rzieka, patch the hull to make her adequately watertight, and tow/push her back upriver to Sandomierz (IIRC) or downriver to Praga's shipyard? if she had sunk before her hull burned too much, the superstructure could be rebuilt on it, the engines replaced, and she could rejoin the Rataj merchant fleet.

She could be cut down and remade into an armored gunboat, a la the CSS Virginia. Let's see the Korsarz deal with that!
