Seriously. Just Don't.
As I was trying to post the last two reply's here, it again crapped out. I actually just got finished adding up minutes on my phone, and I have spent 61% of my minutes talking to Tech support over the past three months about that "service". Replaced 4 devices, tried this, tried that, and still can't keep a connection - assuming you can even get one - for more than 30 minutes. And yet, they can't seem to figure it out. Only just now are they going to send a tech out to the area to see what might be happening. Good Grief. Sorry, had to vent a little.

Panther, ask if they, or at least someone would be willing to do a wireless survey (I'm assuming of course you're using a wireless service as opposed to land based). YOu can also do it yourself if you've got a decent PC and programs like InSSIDer and NetStumbler. They're free and I recommend you use a few wireless survey programs such as both to get an accurate picture of what may be going on. YOu could have too much interference from a nearby radio tower or radar dish, maybe the terrain and obstacles in the area like trees are also playing havoc with the signal strength, could be power lines, etc. Don't know if this helps, but it might help figure out why you're having issues.

I had Sprint Desktop Wireless 4g Unlimited and it, too, sucked. NEVER EVER got over 7mbit. NEVER EVER uploaded faster than 256k.
About a year in got a C&D when it FAILED during my wife's finals (she's doing her Masters online) and got told we were using too much bandwidth! Got Roadrunner back a week ago and haven't had a problem. |

Over here my company uses Vodafone (aka vodafail) for mobile communications (telephone, wireless internet) and it's safe to say it's nearly useless outside towns. Hell, even inside town sometimes, just half a mile from the towers signal strength is problematic at best.
If my blackberry wasn't being paid for by work, I'd have changed over a year ago...
