Default A question about the .45 Long Colt round

OK,
.357 Magnum = 9.07 x 32.77mm
.44 Magnum: 10.41 x 32.77mm
.45 Long Colt = 10.53 x 32.77mm

Different sources say different things -- the .45 is magnum round in range, penetration, and stopping power. Others say various mixes of those attributes. Right now, I use the magnum range for the .45, but should it be a "full magnum" in game terms?

I don't think so. It's not pushing the velocity, hence the muzzle energy, of a "full Magnum" round. YMMV.

It was originally a black powder round. The differing sources areprobablydue to black powder vs smokeless powder versions.
