Semi-OT: Survivalism Explanation
Recently, I found myself in the position of explaining to someone on Facebook why some people might believe that society might unravel and why they might think they need guns in that eventuality. How does one pack years of reading and thinking into a few paragraphs?

This is a very hard subject to cover in a short discussion.
IMHO, The openening point could be something along the lines of " You saw what happened during Katrina and Sandy. I am gathering a few things to help insure my family's safety if something like that happened here." My $0.02 Mike |
