Figure you might see make shift phones like this durring twilight as it might the only form of long distance communication to surrive give the muilt EMP bursts

I know a rural area that kept the old crank phones as a neighborhood party line for communication. To younger people a war that slides everything back to the 1920's-1940's would still be pretty disruptive.
