Phoenix Command & Tw2K ?
About a month ago my wife dragged me to an estate sale and they had a copy of Phoenix Command. (First thing I ever found interesting at these things!) Anyway have any of you used these rules with the TW game system? How did you go about character generation? It seems that PC is pretty simple and TW is way more in depth. Any ideas or home made rules?

Had a copy many, many years ago but was turned off by how complex (to the point of complicated) combat was.
Making a character might be easier in PC (I really don't remember though) but otherwise I found T2k far, far easier to run. |

I agree that it is way overly complicated. (Evidently more so with the Advanced Damage Supplement, if that is possible.) I just bought it because I remember someone in this forum speaking of using the combat rules in lieu of the standard rules and am morbidly curious.

My group used the Phoenix Command System for Combat .. That was 20 years ago now so my memory is a bit hazy. IIRC we used the standard TW 2.0 character Generation and worked out a conversion for the combat skills. At first a combat encounter use to take 2 sessions to resolve but after we got use to it we could do a platoon sized engagement in a single sitting .
