Default Military Customs

I was just wonder what are some customs you might in some of non commonwealth nations

Example: Many Commonwealth Unit have a christmas dinner the enlisted soilders where officers and senior NCO's serve dinner.

The practice of RN and RCN's Splice the mainbrace order

The Wing King (general) would serve turkey on thanksgiving. He had a chef's hat with his insignia on it. I usually worked the family holidays and would get New Year's Eve off.

That would occur during the Marine Corps B-Day.

Marine B-Day, the Birthday message by Gen Lejunne would be read and then a cake would be cut by the oldest and youngest Marine present is another one.

I heard that if you are stationed in Italy the guy with the bottom bunk has to make the guys top bunk bed, and in Germany the guy in the top bunk has to make the bottom bunk...
