OT: Director's Commentary on "The Day After"
I recently was looking around YouTube for any "nuclear war" type videos and came across something I did not know existed. There is a director's commentary version of the Day After. It is kinda interesting to watch. There is one point in the video where Nicolas Meyer indicates he did not have a big enough budget to use real broken windows at one of the farm houses where filming occurred.
So they simply taped black construction paper to the windows to make them "look" broken. I thought that was really cool cause it is very low budget and on a low def TV program they do look broken. But now that I know the paper is there I can see it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYFPKC5xbVA Take a look if you get a chance. |
