Resource Book
I'm reading "USSR in Crisis: The Failure of an Economic System" by Marshall I. Goldman for background material. So far, this book written in 1983 is offering some interesting insights into the structural inefficiencies of the Soviet economy after Brezhnev. I'm getting some ideas for how the USSR could have been kept limping along after a hypothetical overthrow of Gorbachev. I recommend this work for anyone who likes to think about how the v1 timeline might have been preserved.
