Twilight 2000 4th Ed. Referee Aids
Hi everyone,
Posting my 4E referee aids here in case any aspiring 4E refs might find some value in them. These diagrams were originally intended to provide a more contextual reading of the rules without having to flip all over the books looking for Boolean statements. In short, I hope they provide most of what Refs most want to understand about a given 4E topic all in one discrete diagram/document. I plan on doing more of these as time allows, and will post them into this thread as they get completed. Please feel free to provide any feedback you have about them. Disclaimer: This is intended to be a free resource for T2k players and referees. Everyone is free to use it as they see fit, but reproduction for sale is prohibited without my explicit permission. Awesome! I'm going to have this up next time I play, instead of fumbling through the rulebook, like I did earlier today.

Twilight 2000 4E - Referee Aid - Strategic Play
This file doesn't have quite the visual fidelity that I'd like due to the forum's file size caps, but hopefully it'll still work for everyone. If anyone wants a slightly higher res pdf, feel free to reach out and I'd be happy to email it to you. Edit: Please use the links above as this file is low res and out of date. Made some mods.
Up to 5 meg pdf files should be good now. As this internet connection is pretty much dedicated to my webservers (only a backup for surfing) larger files should be fine. |

Nice!
How did you do the layout? is that the resource that's available for community creators where Free League let people publish stuff on DriveThru RPG?

@kato13 - Thanks for that.
@Rainbow Six - They're largely using the community content pack from Free League for DriveThruRPG publishing, yes. The content pack I used for the background, images, etc. For the actual flowcharts themselves, I use a tool called draw.io, which I’m pretty sure is a free webapp (I find it works great for flowchart work in general). So since my post, I've been working on making an additional Referee Aid for Vehicle Combat, since that's an additional ruleset that's a bit complicated. In addition, I've gone back and redone the original two Referee Aids in order to make them higher resolution, fill in a couple of gaps, and make the art style a little more consistent. I'll post them here again so that they'll be a bit easier to read. Last edited by Heffe; 12-09-2021 at 07:58 PM. |

Again, great cheat sheets, thank you! One thing I noticed: the close combat sheet offers a table on melee weapon examples. This looks like a copy and paste and is a bit blury. Maybe it was up-scaled a bit to much?

@Ursus Maior - Alright I went ahead and tried to scale down the melee weapons table. Hopefully that's a little better. Last edited by Heffe; 12-15-2021 at 04:46 PM. |

Unable to print legibly
Although these are AMAZING resources, I'm unable to print them legibly. Is there any way that you could format these for printing on letter sized paper.

Thanks Rae, for forwarding my message here. And Ursus for the kind words.
For anyone thinking about getting them, I only added the $5 recommendation in case I could earn a free drink out of the whole endeavor, so feel free to just grab 'em for free if that's what suits ya. Last edited by Heffe; 01-06-2022 at 04:47 PM. |

These look awesome but any pointers on printing? When printing the font is all but unreadable unless you print on multiple sheets and combine them or something.

Unfortunately I didn't design them to be printed (lesson learned for next time). Trying to scale them up any further would make some of the tables unreadable due to blurriness. With that said, if you want to try to fool around with or convert them yourself into a more readable format, just jump onto the 4e discord and hit me up - I'm happy to send over the .xcf files. |
