Caches
Caches are a big part of T2K. They can serve as a "quest" starter or help explain how a new PC has more gear than he can carry.
They seem to be kind of magical and I want to treat them more realistically. So, I have a few cache questions. What kind of stuff could survive being burried or whatever for a couple of years or so? What's the SOP for creating a cache? I would imagine that a weapon, properly oiled, would be just fine after being burried in a ground sheet or something for a year or two. So would canned food. What about things like electronics (radios, NVGs, laser sights), batteries, and other items. I know that, in drier climates, things would probably last longer than in wetter ones. Any other factors I should keep in mind?
