Amino Acids

When 2300AD was written, the science of Amino Acids were not well understood by the authors, and even more is understood now.

In essence, all amino acids except fro a few occur in 'left handed or right handed (L or D)' apart from a few here and there. Contrary to 2300AD, all sorts occur on Earth and all are ingestible by terrestrial life normally.

So the amino acid thing is a fundamental error in the game, and best avoided entirely.
