regarding your family....
....it seems like some shady people have been tailing them/ searching for them...The found it out when a gas-attendant called them up some hours after they left the gas-station they last were at, telling them (your father) about the incident....
they were briefly captured by the security camera outside the gasstation..  The spoke with an east european accent.....
