I do not think I have seen this thought before. If it is here on the forum, my apologies.

The other day, I was perusing some on line sites that concern themselves with the purchase of freeze dried food. I have been considering this for some time. Until a thought hit..... (Oh, no I am thinking again )

I was thinking of purchasing a six month supply. Then, as I looked at the number of boxes this entailed, how the hell do I keep my nosy neighbors from learning Mike has a s*** load of food. Or for that matter, the delivery truck driver. He will remember that THIS house had a large delivery from (name your favorite food company). And if SHTF, here they come, looking for a handout. Or the whole pile....

The people in my neighborhood are good, honest, hardworking souls. We look out for each other when some one is not home. BUT, my interpretation of these folks is they are grasshoppers, not ants. I do not want them to know about "the stash".

So far, I have taken to buying in small quantities. Who is going to remember that Mike brought in six bags of groceries vs. his normal four? Expensive, maybe, but no one knows just what is in those bags.

I am looking forward to your thoughts and comments on this issue

My $0.02

Mike
