So the topic came up tonight when we were discussing why we would want to extend our reach outside of the Texas Gulf Coast when we have just about all the resources we need for the immediate future.
Louisiana and Mississippi only have more oil as far as natural resources go...none of the south is of much value there either. Florida? Nah.... And then salvage was discussed. Salvage the industrial capacity of one city and moving to one of ours...or just straight scrounging/salvaging of anything useful would be nice. We dont want to try and extent military control over an area just to salvage its resources...and then "registered salvage teams" came it mind. In that "PA Crude" article that had specialized independent operators go out, find something we need and sell the location to us....or even have the locals do the work and sell it to us for food maybe? Locally we do our own government run salvage operations... Thoughts?
