Default Weapon Ranges

I'm not sure if folks out there already have these documents (namely The Morrow Project Players Guide/Modified Version of Morrow Project v4.5, collected by Darwyn Walker), but I have a question for those who do...

In the weapons section, the weapons have ranges broken down into point blank/short/medium/long/extreme.
I'm trying to reverse engineer these figures and suss out how they arrived at these numbers.
Why? I'm constructing my own armory files, and wanted to include them into the weapon data block.

Any thoughts?

As an example:

The Browning/FN HP35 is listed at 2m/30m/70m/120m/250m
In the MP rulebook, the HP35 has an effective range of 45m, max of 2012m.

I don't quite see how the two mesh up.
Did the author of the original doc that Darwyn collected and assimilated use a different RPG system?
At this rate, I was thinking on looking at Chaosium's Delta Green's weapons charts and using them.

Thanks for any help.

That is most likely from my website from my expanded weapons sections.

The game I based these on was Task Force Games The Delta Force. The ranges from that game are more inline with what it should be.

Now that is a game I have not dealt with in a long, long time... I have the rules somewhere, location unknown... wonder where they could be, and if there's another rules repository somewhere...
