I've had a look at Google Maps but I cannot see anything that resembles what you've mentioned. However, this could be because some maps have sections that aren't shown to viewers outside the US, we see "sanitized" versions (i.e. censored) instead.
Either that or you need to be a whole lot more specific with your location information. Could you perhaps post a screen-cap of the thing you're describing? |

I question it, looking at some of the large objects with, what in my eyes, looks like a Ford Transit van parked on the slipway to it, I have seen them further towards the V(something) Narrows Bridge, but that is an interesting article, it helps with something I was planning for a TMP scenario (if I can ever get players)

Its the 'Gowanus Generating Station'
http://www.uspowergen.com/projects/s...ating-station/ Looking for more info now... EDIT: "Gowanus Gas Turbine Facility is a 542 MW fuel oil and natural gas facility consisting of 32 simple cycle combustion turbine units situated equally across four generating barges located in Gowanus Bay in the borough of Brooklyn, New York City. The facility is one of the largest floating generating stations in the world. The site also includes approximately 25 acres of piers and submerged land. The Gowanus facility can be controlled remotely and can start with as little as fifteen minutes notice. The units are flexible from an operating perspective and are available year-round to offer system- peaking capacity. With 16 of 32 units equipped for dual-fuel firing, the site has additional optionality regarding fuel selection. In addition, the facility has black-start capability and was the first generating station to resume operations following the Black Out in August 2003." |

Awesome! Thanks for finding that. Now all I have to do is find the others on the Island.
