My condolences as well Paul. Was she part of the Croat diaspora?

My condolences, Paul. From the stories you have related, your mum had an incredible life. Respect.

Not as such, but her parents were also partisans, against the Nazis, along with most of her village. The village was rounded up, and what happened to them is unknown, but there were no one left who my mother knew when the Americans liberated the camp.

Interesting note there -- my mother said that the first American she met sounded like someone trying to talk with a mouth full of bubble gum, but he didn't have any gum!

Paul,

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I hope that we can provide some level of support to you in this trying time for you.
