Well, perfect timing, my laptop came in on Monday (my mom's birthday was yesterday so I honestly didn't try to play )

I got some great stuff planned while I was computer-less, so we'll be putting that to good use now!

It went until about late-August. The mix of classes and work pretty much put a cramp on any sort of RPing I intended to do for the time coming.

If I recollect correctly, the group made it to Krakow, and had decided to wait out the winter there. They were running various missions for the different factions (I never introduced RESET) to keep the bread on the table.

It's too bad too, I was going to introduce the RR ("Butchers of Ropczyce") as a threat intent on taking over Krakow, and the PCs were gonna be in the crossfire!

Since then my actual T2000 'collection' has grown. I've gotten hard copies of the v1 rules, the re-published edition with the rules + Poland modules, the US/Soviet/NATO vehicle guides, and the Going Home module! Oh, and Twilight Encounters. Thank God for Amazon.

I'd definitely love to get back to it. I love the setting and universe of T2000. I was actually kicking around the idea of a RPOL campaign based on a comic series I just picked up, called The Last Zombie.

It features a military unit moving from their enclave in Cheyenne Mountain to West Virginia to re-initiate contact with another enclave (and the President) since the satellites are damaged (it's been 2 years since the zombie apocalypse began). They begint heir trek, even though they're expecting the worst when they finally get there. They have to deal with fuel and ammo rationing, marauders, disease, food supplies, and the condition of their vehicles. Literally everything plaguing the PCs in a T2k game! Plus zombies! It got my mind thinking....which can be dangerous...

I have to apologise for my disappearance from the game... a few weeks after we started, I had a sudden recurrence of an ongoing back problem and for several weeks could not tolerate sitting, at a computer or anywhere else. By the time I recovered, work and other pressures had multiplied... still, I should have let you know.

The GM and I had most everything worked out. Just need players.

Here's a few pointers:

If you're going to play online I cannot recommend Roll20.net enough. Despite the name it is system-agnostic. It doesn't require a d20 gaming system. At it's core it is a whiteboard system you can have tiles on, and associate characters and characteristics with those tiles. You can also have sound effects, music, etc. There's a "fog of War" effect where you can simply have the map blacked out where characters cannot see (this is great for fantasy gaming where players are moving through a dark dungeon, for example). Players and the GM can draw on the map; it can be a blank "sheet of paper" style map, hexgrid, square-grid, and so on.

With that said it's not perfect: it's audio subsystem is terrible. The best workaround for this is to embed it in Google+ (there's an option at start to do this, and any time you open your campaign you can start it in Google+ Hangouts and invite people in). Google's audio chat system worked flawlessly for my group.

IF you're averse to G+ hangouts (and I can understand that) I recommend using Skype or some other VOIP system rather than Roll20.net's included chat system.
