Default Kid rock ... t2k

Kid Rocks "Sweet home alabama" song. In particular, the film clip.

My question is ... is the wetlands he's skooting around in his boat Michigan? The song mentions michigan but i thought the lakes of M were wide open expanses.

If its Alabama, now thats in the south, and the wetlands down there are more mangrovey like in the film clip.

The T2K connection is ... (wait for it) ... the circlular stage they are singing on, and the riverboat the girls are on, reminds me of the concert in Apocolypse Now. And its also how i envision a boat of women trolling the waterways might look (Realus, i'm looking at you).

Don't know for certain, but Michigan has over 11,000 inland lakes. Michigan is (or was prior to draining a lot of it) very swampy.

LOL. Thanks for the shout-out, KC. I seem to have become the authority on floating brothels in T2K. It's so totally not me.

It's fiction. I made up an NPC named Damien the River Pimp for my Pirates of the Vistula campaign. He ran a "floating emporium of forbidden pleasures"- a small river tour boat housing a half-dozen prostitutes- up and down the Vistula, peddling his "wares" to the towns along the river and whatever traffic he passed along the way. The same character made a cross-over guest appearance in Fusilier's campaign set near Gdansk. KC's met him twice!

You I am from Michigan, and didn't pay much attention to the plant life, but to answer the question, there are plenty of swampy areas that would look similar. I always assumed it filmed elsewhere though. Would have to watch the video again to tell you for sure.

That's even better than the Uzi-toting nuns that we encountered several times during the "Pirates of the Vistula" portion of the T2K campaign I played in during college!

Yup, the very same.

Uzi-toting nuns? Hmmm. I might have to try that...

Come to think of it, that's where we got one of our replacement characters. If I remember correctly, Sister Mary Gideon* had been a member of a London all-female street gang before taking Holy Orders. We picked her up on our way to Warsaw and lost her in battle during Armies of the Night.

*I only recall the character's name and background because she was being played by my girlfriend.

A habitual criminal perhaps?
