Slowly but sure the rules for version 3.0 are being compiled (unofficial rules that is). If youve never seen them online, tehy are a cross between version 1.0 and 2.2.


If anyone is interested let me know Ill sned you the "prototype". I'm also looking for a website to post tehm.


Some basic changes are character generation and combat. I kept the D20 but combat is more lethal.


To give an example of combat, teh average non-SF PC has about 9 hit points to the chest. A 5.56mm rifle does 6 at close range and a 7.62mm does 8. A solid hit from a 5.56mm will effectively take out a PC/NPC but not kill him. With 9 HP, a total of 18 damage will kill you. a .50 BMG does 18 at short range (200 meters). Minimum damage for a .50 BMG is 4 at 1500 meters.
