Soviet Vehicle Radios
Does anyone know by any chance what model of radio a BRDM-1 and a BTR-152 would have in them as "standard"?
They are both listed as having radios in the Soviet Combat Vehicle Handbook and I'd like to try to work out what model that would be if at all possible, just to add a little depth to the game. Or are Soviet vehicle radios a bit of a mix and match and by the time my PCs have these vehicles in 2001 it's quite feasible that any working vehicle radio could have been installed in the vehicles? Thanks for any help. Mahatatain. |

they should have R-130M sets , but could be R-123M FM-100-2-3 says R-123m, but also says R-130M is replacing the R-123m, so take your pick.

I would guess, in my non-electronics-skills opinion, that if you have the right parts and tools you could wire different radios to vehicles that otherwise have other radios. But, as I said, its a non-electronics-skills opinion on my part. When we changed from our old radios in Korea in our 577s to SINCGARS, they had to change out the radio mounts, matching units, and part of the wiring harness, so you might need a lot of parts. An electrical fire would not be a good thing.
