Description: A fanatical group of religious powerseekers who spent their power and savings to freeze themselves before the War in order to awake in a "more tolerant" age. In the chaos following the War they found a very tolerant age in which they are expanding as quickly as they can make converts, voluntary or otherwise.


This has morphed from the religious cultists into extreme capitalist robber Barons of the KFS. Though personally I think you can have both. What is scarier than religious fanatics? What are they? Neo Druids, hyper Puritan witch hunters, or a resurgence of the Thuggee cult? What was it about them that they could not be an open religious group in the 20th century?

Which would you prefer? Frozen Chosen as Maoist/Puritan revolutionaries? Or the crazy (and very well-funded) Japanese cult that released Sarin gas on the subway?

Whoever they are, they're widespread and fairly successful. Their geographic distribution and tech level suggest a good-sized population and a respectable industrial base. They could be a very useful ally - or a very dangerous enemy - for the Morrow Project

I read your article on the AUM SHINRI KYO (SUPREME TRUTH) as version of the Frozen Chosen. I like it very much. I think the charismatic Jim Jones (inspiration for the derisive phrase "kool aid drinker") makes for equally terrifying group. Both with Leaders inspirational enough to convince cultists to kill or to die for the faith.

The Frozen Chosen are a cult, and cults are known for their slavish devotion. So how does one work and spread after the War? The worst has happened. Where is the Messiah? Where is the Salvation? How much more suffering? When are we saved?

What will these Cultists do for their Faith? Will they kill? Will they kill children? Will they kill themselves to kill others aka the suicide bomber?

What is the mechanism to bring others into the group? Do they reel them in slowly all sweetness and promises? Do they co-opt people with hallucigenics, and manipulation? Are all new members simply children under the age of two?

Who are their enemies?
