Well...I'm Back Again!
Greetings,
In case we haven't met yet, my name is Frank Frey. Some of you probably remember me as I wrote some modules for Twilight:2000 such as the Black Madonna, the RDF Sourcebook and Kings Ransom as well as some weapons and vehicle guides. They were fun to write and playtest. Anyway, I have been lurking here for the past couple of days and I would like to say Thank You to all of you for your support for the game and the line. It means a great deal to me. You guys are what makes all of the work and research worthwhile. I retired in 2008 from the University of South Florida due to medical reasons. I currently live in Gainesville, Florida with my wife and three dogs and four cats. Oh, and of course shelves full of books. I am currently working on other writing and gaming projects. However, I will never Twilight 2000 or you great fans. I'll be checking in here semi-regularly. Take care everybody and keep on gaming. Out Here, Frank Frey |

Hiya, Frank! Welcome back.
The Black Madonna's popped up quite recently in a couple of T2K PbPs run by folks that frequent this forum. It's a fun module, with some flavorful elements not found in the other Poland modules (which isn't to say that they're not excellent as well). Check out the first issue of our community fanzine. The first edition features the backstory I wrote- using some of your Lions of Twilight notes- for a Kenyan campaign. Grimace added the photos and took care of the formatting. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7K1...ZVk/edit?pli=1

I only got into Twilight: 2000 in the past year, and I have to say that Black Madonna is my favorite of the modules. I love the feel of T2000 in general, and the 'horror' aspect of Madonna is a really fun addition.
I can also say that I've enjoyed listening to some of the games you've done with the RolePlaying Public Radio crew on their Actual Play podcast. Those Call of Cthulhu/Delta Green games you've played in/ran were amazing! I don't regret spending the collective 11+ hours to listen to U-Boote Heraus! Overall, I just want to say thank you for everything you've done. |

Black Madonna was one of the best! It along with Pirates and Krakow for the backbone of every campaign. Overall, the write up of the towns and description of major units is one of the better mods. Black Madonna is written so open ended and with so many angles, its possible to just stay right there for a whole game. My BEST moment of 25 years of playing T2K was reffing a group of new players, unfamiliar with the crazy in the tunnels, freaking out in a fire fight and going to pieces in a manner similar to the "diary" at the start of the mod.
I always did like the RDF sourcebook too. The thing I liked the most about it was there was so much to do that you could just pretty much run a whole game without moving very far. In retrospect, realizing the same guy wrote both, it all makes sense. I just finally got King's Ransom a few months ago. I read over it fairly quickly and it seemed ok; just doesn't have the same magic because I'm no longer a teenager I guess. Thanks for the good work, you kept me entertained for hours and probably kept me occupied enough to stay away from other illcit teenage activities that would have otherwise landed me in jail. |

Frank, words can't describe how much joy the work of you and your colleagues have brought my gaming group and I here in Australia over the past three decades. I can safely say that among this online community you are a living legend.

Frank,
As a relative newbe to the T2K universe, I, for one, want to add my voice to the congrats on creating a very well thought out world. My background is more in The Morrow Project, but I have been able to use both universes to create games for players. Eg. I have used Black Madonna as a template in a MP game where the players are searching for an original copy of the Declaration of Independance. My $0.02 Mike |

Great to see you back Frank! Just want to say that I have all the modules that you created - and that I agree whole heartedly with the praise for the Black Madonna, the RDF Sourcebook and Kings Ransom modules. And your vehicles and weapons guides are excellent as well.
By the way, your unfinished Kenya module has no less than three different people here who have used your notes to come up with their versions, as alluded to earlier by Raellus. Goes to show just how much interest there still is in Twilight 2000. Hope you enjoy some of the fan creations that are here and on associated sites. |

Thank You!
Indeed, thank you all very much. Your support and friendship means a great deal to me. It has inspired me to at least start considering the possibilities of designing another post apocalyptic setting/game.
Thank you again for your support. Out Here, Frank Frey |
