Give me your best ideas for non Project weapons, tools, equipment.
So what would be the equipment given to operatives of the Project or Council of Tomorrow to use in a post nuclear exchange that did not trace back to the Project.
Government issue? Corporate security? Private Military Contractor? Foreign government agency? I would say the Street Sweeper, the Striker 12 revolver shotgun. Any magnum or less 12 guage ammunition. Aviators dual tube passive night vision. commercial confined spaces hazard sensor (used by work crews in sewers and tunnels) to investigate structures and not get killed by poison gases or low O2 levels. Ready, set, Go! Last edited by ArmySGT.; 04-28-2016 at 10:22 AM. |

Are we assuming any logistical restrictions for this? It would be simple to assume some AKMs and AK-74s to implicate Russia or Vietnam if adding additional calibers of ammunition is not an issue.

No restrictions. Equipment for someone like a Frozen Watch that has no markings or pattern to it that would mark the owner as TMP personnel.

Have you seen the reviews on the Street Sweeper?
Forgotten Weapons Review Personally I would go with something that is extremely common to the point where anyone could use it. |

For my game I included one "E-SERE" cache per team near the bolthole. It contained mainly non-Project issue survival gear and could be covertly accessed by a team who's bolthole was breached, personnel on the run, etc. Personnel could get geared up but not stand out too much. The era is "classic" TMP, that is, the 1987 update is the general cutoff.
Weapons included an M14, 2x M1 Carbines, a Ruger Mini-14, a Remington 870 shotgun, an HK91 rifle with optics, Colt M1911, Colt M1908 "vest pocket" pistol, FN FAL, Glock-17, Ruger Single-Six revolver, Colt Detective Special. These weapons are serviceable and common, although with about half Project ammo commonality. Tony |

In the equipment category, something along the lines of the Chamberlain CWA2000 PIR motion detector might be good. Granted it can only support 4 sensors and each sensor only sees out about 6m, but placing them on trails about 500m away may give you enough advanced warning of an attack or someone entering your kill box.

WEAPONS
FN FAL rifles silenced 22lr pistols TOOLS A good automatic watch (if all else fails, you can always sell/trade a Rolex) Leatherman Wave multitool (4th ed mentions a "swiss army knife") EQUIPMENT For 4th edition, you should definitely consider the GoPro camera: a tiny but versatile device capable of recording stills, videos and sound. RECON/spy teams need ways of recording and reporting ("a picture's worth a 1000 words" and all that sort of thing) Pair a GoPro with an android tablet for a security/bugging system http://www.techrepublic.com/article/...curity-system/ You can also get adaptors for telephoto lenses http://www.digitaltrends.com/photogr...age-gopro-mod/ For 3rd edition, you could include bullhorn spotting scope |

well given that i doubt anyone remembers where they put their keys after an apocalypse a proper red team kit would help to get through locked doors and such without destroying them.
http://shop.riftrecon.com/products/red-team-kit and i do like giving my recon teams better eyes with a small drone http://www.dji.com/product/phantom-3-pro and thermal camerathat can interface with the drone http://www.x20.org/product/m1-d-micr...frared-camera/ as for deniable hardware i'm kinda partial to the MACV SOG style RPD with chopped barrel http://www.modernforces.com/img/new_site/rpd_450.jpg HK93's http://www.hkpro.com/index.php?optio...hk93&catid=14:..

Universal weapons a mix of 12ga shotguns, Winchester 94's, .30-06 bolt guns .38 SPL S&W revolvers, a mix of USGI and commercial M1911/A1 pistols. All have been made for a century prewar, all can be found all over Canada and the U.S. Throw in a modified contact pack per team member and good to go.

yes Sir!!!

The Barrel ( if not fitted with a ventilated rib) can be adapted to front sight and bayonet lug assembly, but remember that the Browning needs a firm hold to cycle correctly. It can take a sling if a proper front sling mount is made up. so five reloads on the sling five in a butt mounted /cheek rest holder and five in the gun is nice. By the way the bolt stays back when empty and you can "roll" another round up with your left hand then hit the left side button release to chamber ....damn fast!!! I carried the beauty for two years in Combat and fifteen in Law enforcement. Still have it. ( well and a couple more ta go with it.) used number 4 buck then in brass "shells" PS.. It is not a difficult weapon to clean and does not jam ( except with loose hold as stated above) main problem ( in Nam) was the wooden stock and hard finish from factory removed and refinished with a good oil soak no more problems However in game terms with black powder loads... I wonder?

That is pretty nice.. Excellent write up.
I was thinking of non-Project equipment for Project personnel to carry and use. Something useful and would help them keep a low profile or maintain a disguise, such as Contact or PsyOps personnel. |

I see a water can and a fuel can. What is the tools and spares situation with one of these? Fire suppression system in the engine compartment? Spall liners or ammunition safeguards like compartmentalization? Gasoline / ethanol or diesel / biodiesel?

Shovel, crowbar, etc. to extract a stuck vehicle from mud or dirt pot hole. There is also a steel cable with hooks on the ends so one vehicle can pull another one stuck in mud, etc.

Small grenades like the Minismoke HC and CS, V40 and ARGES Minifrag. Civilian explosives. A selection of 4X4 trucks with the appropriate power conversion stored some where near by.

There was a period during the development of the Project when it was thought that having children as part of some teams may make first contact with survivors less stressful, as they could relate to other children and tell them it was okay and that they were here to help. However, this did not exempt these children from weapons training. This recently declassified picture shows a Morrow training officer supervising one of these children in a live fire exercise.
