- That German soldiers in WW2 took amphetamines in frequent doses during operations to keep themselves going; their supply lines and food quality and quantity were poor compared to American supply (Americans comparatively spoiled their soldiers, using all those trucks and prodigious amounts of gasoline; one truck load of amphetamines could keep a regiment going for a day, where a whole convoy would be needed to bring them good food). If you read a number of first hand accounts from German soldiers, this comes out.
- Hitler's dependence on opiates and other drugs, and the increase of that use through the course of the war are fairly well known.
