It's extremely rare that screens big or little get it right enough to satisfy the experts when portraying any technical line of work. If there were real superheroes, they'd gripe about The Avengers.

Stackmouse - you might be able to answer a couple of questions for me about this film. Was the EOD team comprising just three men correct and was them driving around on their own in a single vehicle realistic?

EOD teams usually have a team leader (SSG or such) and two team members, so that is correct in the film. EOD teams are pretty independent in their own trade, but they are never on their own (hopefully). The team is very light, and has to resort to larger units for all classes of support - and security. One of the things I just couldn't take in the film was the fact that they strolled around like tourists. |
