Alright, can I get a little acknowledgment from everyone still available to play? An "Oorah" or something?

Just so I know the final tally.

EDIT: How about a "Hooah". This is the ARMY after-all.

There are two items I could not find on any of the equipment lists that I would like to have, they are a compass and an entrenching tool.

http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/CAM121-1.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entrenching_tool

I expect it should be ok for a member of a special warfare unit to have, we can use the cost for the compass shown on the webpage, $80. In a google search I found entrenching tools for $60. What do you think? and Hoorah

Isochron: Being an Eagle Scout, I know preparedness is key. Feel free to snag those items.

mcchordsage: Nice. Now just find the game 'Older Country-Part 1: blah blah blah and sign up. I get an e-mail, and then I approve ya.

EDIT: Sanjuro, got your sheet.

-Nicolai the Ukranian Deserter

-John the Scottish/American Combat Engineer

-Jessie the Special Forces medic.

Am I missing anyone?

Not really 'on-topic', but I've been scouting out the possibility of using Google Maps or Google Earth for the campaign. And I scouted out some various routes. The eeriest thing though, the last satellite image of Bremerhaven (Going Home) is from 1999...

Leonard, the leg infantryman.

Found the right game finally. And I actually don't have class this week so I won't have any trouble making the start time!

Awesome. Do you have a character sheet or Leonard's stats on hand? I'm compiling hard copy character sheets of all the squad.

Whooo. 5 hours to go (roughly). Looking forward to it!

EDIT: So I just found out that on campus room selection is at 6 tonight...

I'm gonna be forced to postpone the game tonight. Next week for sure.

But let me double check on the room selection, because I swear it wasn't originally today...

Yeah, then that happened. Would you guys be willing to play for about 45 minutes? That way we can get any questions answered and get the squad on their way out of Kalisz.

Awesome stuff tonight. Character creation is all set, and our squad is all geared up. We'll start with the adventuring next Tuesday, same time, same channel (Skype + Google maps).

If everyone could get their character sheet to me (or actually on Google docs, even better) and get your gear over onto the spreadsheet that should pop up soon.

Looking forward to next week, I see good things with the Magnificent Five (as I see 'em) and their HMMWV & 2 1/2-Ton Truck.

Awesome. I have an excel sheet for vehicles too, I'll throw it up there for the HMMWV and the Deuce. One of the slots has a spot for name/call-sign which begs the question: You gonna name 'em?

Isochron: Cool, I'll have to re-name the campaign "The Magnificent 6"

Cdnwolf: Awesome stuff. I have a basic structure for the beginning, but I can definitely use some of this stuff.

EDIT: And gear won't be a problem. While Nicolai may be a deserter, the rest of the Magnificents are packing. Packing big.

Markeye, your registration and subsequent post in this thread wouldn't happen to be entirely for the purposes of promoting the website you link to in your signature, would it? Hmm...

For those that would like to see or use the materials I have been working on for our campaign please send me (or post) the e-mail address you use for google docs. I have a character sheet and vehicle record sheet made up so far.

I shared a 'new' character sheet with as many of you as I had gmails. Since I'm using Twilight Encounters, the vehicle stats are watered down some. The new sheets have all the spots/info we need.

Couple more hours to our 'first' session. If any of you guys have physical dice you want to use, I'm all for it. I have two d10s I have on me that I'll use for rolls, and I'll use any 'ol online roller for damage (d6s).

So we finally got into the campaign itself tonight, and things moved along. Our gang struck south from Kalisz, figuring on heading to Krakow. They came across an abandoned convoy of Pact vehicles and looted some tires. About a day later, they made a camp in the nearby woods, setting up defenses and (attempting) to hunt. They also found an old hotel/train station being lived in by Polish Marauders, and a group of 10 civilians holed up in a house to the south.

One of the civilian kids was sick with dysentery (hooray for disease charts!), and the groups two medics have set about caring for him. But things are not as solid as they wish, as there is a heavily armed Polish military force camping somewhere to the south.

We left off with the group deciding if they should have the refugees tag along with them the many kilometers to Krakow.

Was a good first session. I'm guessing with only 3 players showing up on the first day we have room for more. I will keep my ear to the ground and see what I can come up with.

What is the max players you will allow?

Probably 6 max. And I think Wolf was just running into problems, and everything should be all set for him to jump in next week. So, If we include Wolf, 2 more spots.

The Canadian guy was probably parked in front of the tv watching hockey playoffs and eating poutine.
