Default Avalon Hill's Tac Air

Hi folks, hope you're all well this lazy Sunday afternoon. I posted this a good while back on the old forums, but we've a load of new people on here now. Several years ago I bought a copy of Tac Air at a car boot sale. Unfortunately there're no rules in the game. Anyone any idea where I could pick them up without having to buy the whole game again?

Hmm No - but I found this though -

Perhaps you could go on Ebay and offer a few bucks for a scan/photocopy of the rules from someone who is auctioning off their game?

I just can't help thinking that someone out there has already done that -- and posted it. Have you tried Usenet?

Well, it started out as a set of newsgroups to share information (it was one of the earliest parts of the Internet), but later, the ability to send binary attachments was added, and with those, a lot of files are transferred back and forth.

If you go on Usenet, you'll need a newsreader client, which is a program that hooks into Usenet. There's a really bad one that comes with Outlook Express, but there are a number of free ones out there that are far better. Other good programs to have handy are HJSplit (also free) and something that can decode RAR attachments (IZArc is a good one, and its free too).

Now here's the sticky part -- your ISP must allow Usenet access. Most do, but not all of them, and some seriously limit how much you can download in a given period of time. I use a paid group, Giganews; for $25 per month, you have unlimited download privileges, and it's independent of your ISP (unless they meter your downloads).

I did a 120 day search of Usenet binaries in a couple places and no luck. Also did a full search of Google groups and no one ever typed up the rules in text format as far as I can tell.
