Default Central Poland T2k resources

Just curious what all is out there that I might have missed. As far as I know, there aren't any official supplements that go into great detail on the region where the traditional game actually starts - Lodz, Pietrkow Tribunalski, Kalisz, Belchatow, etc.

My current campaign has ended up centered around Belchatow and I've realized it's time to write up the area in a lot more detail. It's a pretty interesting area with a lot to offer in terms of adventures, really -- so I'm curious what if anything is already out there in the canon.

A fellow named Jed McClure assembled this hex map of Poland, including descriptions of every settlement mentioned in the canon books (I don't know if it includes material from Challenge Magazine). It's a nice piece of work.

It's been a while since I looked at it, but it might be of help to you. I am unfamiliar with the region that you mentioned. Northern Poland is my stomping grounds. The only Poland campaign I ever ran followed the Vistula from Krakow to Grudziadz, and the one I'm playing in now is set in Gdansk, and the module that I wrote focuses on Malbork and its environs.

Thanks. I do have the hexmap and have used it quite a bit in my mix-of-every-edition campaign to flesh out ideas. It's a quite useful sum of information.

However, it suffers from some curious decisions, and maybe these were all GDW decisions. The immediate one from my perspective is that the 1st edition map (and therefore this hexmap and all info related to it) for some reason decided that Szczerców (a village of about 3000 people) was worth including, but the nearby city of Bełchatów (about 40,000 people) was not!

Granted, like a lot of 1st edition decisions, this may have just been based on very limited information available behind the Curtain... but it sure seems odd. Especially since the largest powerplant in Europe is the Bełchatów coal plant (technically, it's about as far from actual Bełchatów as Szczercow is, but still... it's right in the name!) -- a pretty important piece of strategic infrastructure and a big part of why it's become the crux of my campaign.

Anyway... if anyone knows any other nice resources on this area, let me know. I've got good Soviet topo maps and a few other real-world resources, but very little related to Twilight, so I'm having to invent lore as I go. And it's sometimes hard to tell what is period-correct (or reasonable approx.) or a more modern development; there's been a lot of growth in this region including the powerplant itself which has about doubled in size since 2000.

@unipus
Thanks, that's solid key information and I'm happy this board offers these kinds of bits and pieces at the ready.
