A documentary I haven't finished yet (~90 minutes) is "Operation Odessa"
-- from Showtime, but currently on Netflix. I think "Miami Vice" bleeding into Tom Clancy may be the best way to describe it. In the 90s, when everything ex-Soviet was apparently for sale, some drug-smuggler-types attempt to buy a submarine. There are interviews with the 3 principals and the DEA agents who were investigating them (and brought them down, I think).
